Ode to a dearly departed friend

O Night of uninterrupted sleep, O Night of uninterrupted sleep,
Where for art thou, O Night of uninterrupted sleep?
Our relationship is gone and I miss it dearly.
You must have been jealous of my children because you left when they were born.
You have abandoned me when I needed you most and introduced you evil twin,
Night of waking up to feed baby, rock baby, comfort preschooler after nightmares, change wet sheets.
Did I take you for granted? Most assuredly, but if you come back to me I promise never to take you for granted again.

That was SO funny! I have 2 kids & I'm a stay-at-home mom too - we even picked out the same background for our blogs. I, too, have been there & I'm slowly getting reacquainted to sleeping all night. I still have the wet sheets & nightmares to deal with, but I am thankful to not have 1 more baby to add to the mix. My heart feels for you. But I'm sure your joy is also three-fold whereas mine is only two-fold, so it evens out! Blugs to you!!!!

Hi Elizabeth,
Just thought I'd stop in and say hi, as I see you're a fellow Anne fan (from Judy Thomas' blog today)! I'm an SLP also and I scrapbook a bit too. Nice to meet you. :) I grew up in the CofC in Canada.

I am cherishing my nights of uninterrupted sleep now - that was pretty funny. Very nice blog you have here. :) God bless and happy blogging!

Elizabeth - thanks for your comment on my blog....feel free to delete if you feel you must! ;-) (I have more to say, but didn't know if it would be appropriate here - I would have just emailed you, but didn't see your address in your profile.) I read earlier in your blogs how you grew up in Abilene....and you look really familar to me. What was your maiden name? I, too, grew up in Abilene (5th grade-college) - AHS, Highland CofC, ACU.
