*My sweet baby boy, who 5 years ago bounded into school as excited as I have ever seen him, will be walking out of elementary school for the last time. The fastest 5 years of my life.
*My 2nd grader has had the best year of his life. Amazing teacher, great friends in his class. I wish we could take it all with us to 3rd grade. I love 2nd grade and feel like it is the last little kid grade before the TAKS testing starts in 3rd.
*My baby girl will be finished with kindergarten. I have written on this blog so many time about how much I adore this age. And the icing on the cake was that Mary Beth had the sweetest kindergarten teacher whom I adore. I will miss Mrs. B dearly.
*I will never have another kindergartner. **sigh**
*I will never have all three of my children under one roof in school again.
*Matthew and Mary Beth will never be in the same school ever again.
*Matthew and Thomas will not be together again until Matthew is a junior in high school!
I am sure I will get used to the new arrangement. Living and dying by the complicated carpools. Traveling to different campuses. Not knowing Matthew's teachers as well as I have know the past 7 teachers. Not having rest times, teddy bear picnics, etc for kindergarten. But today, it makes me a little sad.
I have also been working on my blog books and organizing pictures. It is amazing to me how much more grown up the kids are looking these days. It is also amazing to look at a picture and forget which year it was taken. Where have the years gone? Why is it hard to look at a picture and not know exactly how old Thomas was in that picture when I had memorized every freckle on his face and ringlet in his hair? If these past 10 years have gone so quickly, what about the next 10?
Ok, I need to stop!

This makes me sad, right along with you! Of all the kids, I'm having the hardest time with Matthew moving up to intermediate school. There's such a big difference between 4th and 5th graders. I remember when I taught thinking that 4th graders were the last group to still love their teachers, give them hugs, depend on them, etc. 5th graders are too cool for that! I just hope he never gets too cool for his auntie. Do you think he'll still give me kisses next year?! :)
Aw!!!!!!!!!!! Don't make me cry!!!!!!! Being a mother is a never ending emotional rollercoaster! :)
I can't imagine what all you're going through on the inside. wow.
I know what you mean---this will be AM's last year before Kindergarten. I keep thinking---this is it===how will we fill her last days at home? Have I done everything with her that I think she needs? Have I spent my time wisely with her? Has she been able to just play and relax enough? aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! the thoughts! Guess you just have to do the best you can and keep going! and enjoy the ride! :)
Ok, enough of this!! Now I am sad, & I only have 3 mos to be sad about!!! I can't bear it for you-- & wish we could commiserate over any numerous beverages @ Sonic, or maybe splurge & go to DAIRY QUEEN. OR drive to Abilene & talk it out @ the Towne Crier :) I'm sorry they grow up so fast-- & I am dreading & looking forward to it all rolled in to one-- if my little Emmett can be half as sweet as Matthew & Thomas, I will be ELATED. Hang in there!! You are phabulous.
