We had a unique baseball experience on Saturday. Instead of playing on our Little League fields, Matthew's team got to play at the Little League headquarters in Waco. Several teams from around the area came out to play and to benefit the Shriner's hospital.
The event was televised and many area sportscasters were in attendance. The kids enjoyed lining up at the 1st and 3rd base lines for the National Anthem and having a more "real" baseball experience. The game was neck and neck for the duration of the game, but in the end, we lost by 1 run.
Professional sports photographers were there to take pictures of the kids. I love the first two pictures. They were immediately before and after Matthew smacked the ball into the outfield for a base hit! We enjoyed the day immensely and were happy to hear that the Shriner's received $5000 for their hospital.
