Ballerina Girl

All I have been thinking about these last few weeks was ending baseball and school, and our trip. I forgot there was lots to do when we returned!

This weekend, we spent preparing for , and witnessing, Mary Beth's dance recital. This year's theme was Broadway, and her little class tapped to "Put on a Happy Face" and their ballet number was "Goodnight My Someone." This was my first time to ever go to a dance recital, and seeing the little girls dance was priceless! The big girls were incredible, but I mainly loved watching these little girls dressed to the hilt and not having a clue as to what they were doing!

Bryon took video of the event, and I will upload that tonight. In the meantime, here are a few pictures from the event. The ones of the girls performing were from the dress rehearsal. No flash photography during the performance on Sunday. All that to say, I PROMISE Mary Beth's tights and ballet slippers weren't that dirty during her performance. She managed to make a mess of her brand new tights and slippers between her two rehearsal numbers. Dirty tights are a huge pet peeve of mine!

Soooo adorable!! Jeff and I went to yesterday afternoon's performance to see a friend's little girl dance. I think the little ones are the best part of the show. Mary Beth was super cute dancing and doing her thing!!!

What part of Houston will you be in this weekend? Maybe we could meet if it's not too far away! :-)

Look at them!!! So precious! I miss Cassidy taking ballet. She stopped this year after taking it for 6 years. It was so much fun going to recitals and watching them get all dressed up. Good memories...
