Snowed in!

OK, maybe not snowed in. Just a little icy, but I'll take it! I may as well be snowed in. I must have some record going on here. I came home from picking up Matthew from school on Friday afternoon and haven't walked past any of my doors since then!

What have I been doing?
*Watching a National Geographic special on sharks. Fascinating....

*Taking care of my sick daughter. Just fever, congestion, and general lethargy. Under any other circumstances, she would have NEVER fallen asleep on our couch. I've heard of low rise jeans, but THAT is ridiculous! ;)

*Watching Seven Brides for Seven Brothers with the family. All three kids loved it! Love family movie nights!

*Organizing our play room. This room is one of the big reasons we bought the house. Now, it is being used as the big toy depository. We took down the train table that has been up since Matthew's 2nd birthday, and replaced it with their fuse ball table. Much roomier!

*Having a fire going the entire weekend. Scared of that gas bill....

*Watching the Seattle Seahawks lose in overtime. It hurt my heart seeing Thomas so devastated. Finally, every team we care about is out of contention. No more tears in our house!

*Made breakfast for dinner tonight. My favorite dinner! I made a new recipe for Gingerbread pancakes. Delish!

*Watching the weather channel. Friday night, there was a tornado in our little suburb. Saturday was flash floods. Today, ice falling from the sky! Some kind of weird weather.

*Playing Matthew's electronic Yahtzee. I am addicted.

*Reading a new Rebus book. Love that series!

*Missed Matthew's basketball game to take care of under the weather little siblings.

*Never got out of my pjs.

*A fun and interesting weekend! I always love an excuse to hunker down in my house.

We are iced in -- and I have LOVED it, too!! I did some organizing, but I'm waiting for a few more finishing touches to post the whole thing on my blog (it was a DISASTER to start with).

Our basketball got canceled -- one VERY unhappy player. And now the ball is stuck in the frozen net.

Poor ME -- that is the sweetest little pic. That kind of sickness is my favorite. Lots of cuddling and "poor baby" and not nearly as much mopping!

I guess I'm going to be say "Who dat? Who dat say they gonna beat dem Saints?"

We spent the cold & icy weekend indoors painting the house. Ice is a great way to tackle indoor projects! We only left the house twice this weekend -- for Walgreen's prescriptions & church! I loved it.

I think this is the longest I've gone without seeing you, besides being out of town, since we moved here! The toy room looks great. Did you find a bunch of Janseys's toys in there?

Yes, Lauren. PLUS some toys that the boys want to pass down to Jansey!

Oh, that poor seal.... totally gonna die! That's a pretty cool pic though.

And ME's eyelashes are insane. I hope everyone's feeling better. The low-rise jeans cracked me up! You'll have to save that to show her how stylish she was even as a toddler in a diaper!

And I say "delish" too! I've never heard anyone else say that. My mom always rolls her eyes and laughs at me when I say that word. :)

THe low rise jean comment...hillarous! She is the only girl I have ever seen that is actually cute when they are showing off their undies! Those eyelashes are beautiful! YEah UPWARD, Chad coached it last year, I bet Matthew hates not focusing on the score!
