I love January. I love it more every year.
I love taking down the Christmas decorations (that I loved putting up!).
I love going through old clothes and toys and getting rid of clutter.
I love the cold dark atmosphere.
I love reflecting on the old year.
I love planning for the new year.
I love having Matthew home for a few more days.
I love looking at myself--seeing the good and seeing the things I would like to change.
This year, I will:
Start making breakfast more and stop relying on cereal and breakfast bars!
Take better care of my skin!
Lay out clothes on Saturday night for Sunday morning!
Find the good in everyone I come into contact with!
Just a few of the surface things I would like to change this year. The desire to be a better person is always there and doesn't seem heightened this time of year.
Happy 2007 everyone! I can't wait to see what is in store this year.
Had a thought.

Have a great 2007!
I can't believe it's 2007. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
Happy '07 to you and your cute family!
I just laughed so hard at the pictures on your previous post! My husband always grows some kind of hair during hunting season...last year it was a full beard. Since he kept his hair extremely short (#1 guard on the clippers), he looked pretty strange. This year he's growing his hair out and considering shaving his goatee (which he's had since before we met). What's up with guys doing this? My theory is it's the equivalent of us changing our hair color and getting new haircuts.
Happy New Year to you and yours!
P.S. What do your boys think about the new Alabama coach? I know we're only blogging friends, but if you ever want to come for a game, we'd love to meet you guys!
Tesney-
First of all, I do believe the guys like to change their "look" almost as much as girls. I do think, though, that I would gladly trade long, cutesie hair that takes forever to dry and style for Bryon's, 15 seconds of combing each day for it to look good, hair!
Second-
We would LUH HUV to come to a game with you sometime!! I am fairly convinced you aren't an axe murderer and Bryon says everyone who went to Harding is wonderful so although we are only blog friends, I think we would get along great!! ;)
We are tentatively planning a trip to Tuscaloosa and B'ham for March. I haven't crossed the Black Warrior in 12 years and I am due a trip "home". I am ordering a Basil Ede print from Tuscaloosa this week and wish I could pick it up in person. Maybe we could grab a Dreamland feast together?!
Thirdly-
All of us are pretty excited about Saben. We were a little nervous when he hired Kevin Steele as he was the disasterous head coach of our Baylor Bears a few years ago. Maybe he will be a better defensive coordinator than head coach?
