April happenings

I love the springtime in Texas!  One fun event that I get to participate in is a fashion show to help raise funds for my favorite local charity.  Here I am with a few friends before the style show.

Thomas is winding down his elementary school career and has gotten to do many fun things this year.  He was the news anchor, who started the day televised in each classroom, for two weeks in April.

Bryon and I had not spent any considerable time alone together since last summer, so we were thrilled to leave the kids with my parents and enjoy a fun day and night in Austin.  We ate great food, shopped, and enjoyed uninterrupted conversation.  What a gift!
Baylor continues to have an incredible year sportswise!  They have now clinched the Big 12 in baseball, and were on a 25+ game winning streak when the boys went to this game.  The boys went with friends, and Bryon and I watched from home while getting ready for the week after our Austin weekend.  What a fun surprise to see Matthew and his friends on TV!
They also got their picture taken with BU president, Ken Star, of Clinton impeachment fame.  We love our university and have been so blessed to immerse ourselves in the BU culture!

Obligatory roses picture.  They are always so fabulous in April!
We headed down to Conroe to celebrate Bryon's 41st birthday.  It had been a while since we were there, and enjoyed a relaxing weekend with cousins and grandparents.

I put this picture on Facebook, but had to put it in the blog as well.  I found Mary Beth's "to do list" for Monday.  All that was written was "eat pankakes".  She had also checked off that she had accomplished that task.  Now that is what I call a fun Monday!
