Mary Elizabeth turns 3!

Today is ME's 3rd birthday. No amount of words could describe the amount of joy that she has brought to her parents and brothers. She is such a gift to us.

We had a great lunch after church today. My aunt came down from Rhode Island for the occasion. She is a nun and her best friend, Eileen, who is also a nun (from Ireland!) are so dear to our family and we were thrilled to have them here for the party.

The theme was Disney Princesses. How could it not be? I decorated the table with pictures of her with her princesses as well as her cake that looked like the royal pillow holding Cinderella's glass slipper. She was given wonderful gifts including dress up clothes from her aunts and uncles, Bitty Baby and accessories that my parents got her at the American Girl store in Chicago last week, a Barbie computer from Mimi and Big Mack, a Little Sister necklace from the boys, and many other wonderful Princess gifts.

What a great day! I am totally exhausted and going to bed! I'll post more pics tomorrow.

p.s. I have the same shirt you're wearing in the picture of you and her...I swear we must be related somehow!

Tesney-
I have seen it on your blog! I still love that shirt despite the fact that it is several years old!

I had forgotten that ME and Carlie share the same birthday! Looks like she had a royal princess birthday for sure! She is so beautiful, and I'm glad you all had a great time celebrating her! I was just like you---too tired to post all the pictures and stories of the celebrating!

Oh, I wish I could throw a Princess Party! Looks like ME had lots of fun and LOTS of attention! Cute pictures and great cake...I'm sure you were the mastermind behind that, right?

Thanks, Karen! Yes, it took me a while to dream that one up. I liked how it turned out.

Chelsea, I looked at your blog several times yesterday wanting to see pictures of your birthday girl!

Hey Elizabeth!
I am so glad you emailed me! I got a chance to read some of your blog and it's scary!! We are very much alike and haven't even met!
I LOVE Little House on the Prairie!! I watch it at 9,10, 3, and 4 everyday on the Hallmark channel. I've watched it since I was a little girl. When the show comes on, I can tell you what episode it will be.
My older two kids LOVE Johnny Cash! They know almost every word to ring of fire and a few other one's. Isn't that weird? I didn't think there was another child under the age of 3 who liked Johnny Cash??!!
My Mary Elizabeth will turn 3 on Sept. 15. By the way, your little girl is BEAUTIFUL!!!
If you don't mind, I'm going to add you to my "friends blog" that way we can start keeping up with one another. I am so excited to know there is someone else out there with similarities like me!
How do you know Tesney?
I met her at Maywood (church camp in Hamilton, AL). Well, I better go for now. I'll be in touch! Oh, Happy Belated Birthday!
