Spring

Ok, anyone who reads my blog knows that I am much more of a winter weather gal than a summer gal. Give me a cold, gray, blustery, snowy day over sunshine anytime. It isn't so much that I don't like spring- I acutally love spring. Its just that I know before I blink my eyes, the sun will be scorching, the mosquitoes will be out, and I won't be able to walk to my mailbox before beads of perspiration form on my brow!

It is here though. Winter came and went without giving much effort. We went out in the backyard and played quite a bit yesterday and had a great time. Here are a few things I am looking forward to in the next few weeks:

*My first bluebonnet sighting! I love when our highways are dotted with bluebonnets and indian paintbrush. When I first see this, the pressure of getting the perfect bluebonnet picture creeps into my mind, but this is a whole other post.

*Not having to search for matching socks. We live in flip flops for the next 9 months!

*Starting to garden again. I adore working in the yard until about mid-July. My Bradford Pears are starting to bloom. (See picture)

*Looking at my kids legs in shorts. I forget how cute they are in the winter!

*Fresh fruits and veggies again! I spend a lot of time at the farmers market starting in a few weeks.

*Spring break! Can't wait to have Matthew home with me for a week.

*Bryon coming home before dark.

Spring--What's not to love?

Okay, my link to your blog won't work, but linking from Kristin's blog does work. Did you change your address? I notice the address is different on hers than it is on mine.........

My link would not work either, I tried going thru TMK and no go and finally (like jacinda) got thru using Kristin's. None of the pictures except the one of the tree would come up either. Go figure! Our Spring Break is coming up so I am hoping that winter does not creep back in but is actually gone for good!

Yes, I changed my address. I emailed everyone I whose address I had.

Someone spooked me about having my full name written in my blog.

Just change the address link on your blog.

Sorry for the inconvience!

Here is my take on seasons. I love fall. Why? Because in Alabama it is still warm enough to be warm and yet cool enough to be cool. I don't like really hot weather. My theory is that I can put enough clothes on to be warm in the cold, but when it's hot, I can only take so much off before it becomes illegal. Spring is good, but allergies kick in for all 4 of us and we have to deal with that. I don't mind cold, but hot, hot weather just makes me feel bad. Unless of course, I am horizontal on a beach feeling the breeze on my skin. Then it's tolerable.

I am with you, Kelley. I adore the fall. I love everything about summer except for the heat. It just drains me!
