Today has been difficult.
I was feeling great all day because I finally had most of the packing done, all the errands run, hair highlighted, etc. My mother watched the two younger kids while I was at my hair appointment. Everything was fine. I got the kids in the car and headed home. On route, I looked in the rearview mirror and noticed that Thomas looked a little funny. When I got home, I realized he was burning up. Before I even took him out of his carseat, I called the doctor and got him in immediately.
Thomas had 104 degree fever...
This is the child who has never had to get a prescription filled at our pharmacy...
This is the child who has gone through the winter sick season completely unscathed other than throwing up once...
Now, he is the child who got strep throat 15 hours before heading to OK.
Fortunately, we caught it early. Fortunately, the doctor gave me enough prescriptions to hold on to in case anyone else gets sick.
Please say a prayer that we all make it up to OK safely and in time for the wedding and that no one else gets sick. Thank you.
Had a thought.

Oh no...when it rains, it pours!
I hope it all works out perfectly for the big event this weekend. I wish we were able to come up for it.
We will be thinking about all of you!
Sorry for your added stress. I will be praying for Thomas and for Bryon's timely arrival for the wedding.
Enjoy yourself and remember pictures....
Oh, I'm so sorry this is happening. I know you must be stressed! I would not be happy with that judge!!!!!!! UGH! I'll pray that little Thomas gets better soon and that we have lots of pictures to look at soon....with Bryon in them!
The good thing about strep is that it is treatable and over sorta quickly! HOLD ON TO THOSE PERSCRIPTIONS!!! So sorry about Thomas and that nasty old judge. Can Byron fly? Hope so! Take care and post pictures when you get back!
Steph-
Yes, Thomas is already feeling much better! The dr. originally thought it was the flu so I am thankful that it wasn't.
Bryon will not be flying as a one way ticket will be close to 500 dollars and then he would have to rent a car. A logistical nightmare.
Dear God,
Please bring peace to my friend Elizabeth's heart. Allow your spirit to comfort her. Heal her sweet son and protect everyone else from the illness. And take care of the court problem so that Elizabeth and her family can rejoice in her brother's marriage as one big HEALTHY family.
In the name of the master healer,
Jesus
Amen
Thank you, Kelley!
