First day happenings

There is not too much to report. I sat in the car pool line for half an hour dying to talk to Matthew! I am told that the car congestion does get better so we will see.

In Matthew's words, school in awesome! They read stories today like Mrs. Bindergarten goes to Kindergarten. They took a tour of the school and met the P.E., music and art teachers. They played on the playground. All in a day's work.

His favorite thing was Sticky News. This is where Mrs. B asks the kids what they did this summer, writes in on tape and puts the tape on their clothes. Matthew came to the car with "I learned how to swim in the 8 feet deep water!" taped to his chest.

I am happy things went so well today!

The car congestion DOES get better. They have to work out all the kinks. Right now it's so bad at our school that it's easier to just walk.

Last year my kindergartner's teacher read the Mrs. Bindergarten book on the first day, too. I guess it's a rite of passage for kindergartners. Glad everything went so well!

Our carline takes forever. I will either walk or park and walk over to where I can pick her up. Hopefully, yours will get better!

Glad he had a great first day.

And as a former Kindergarten teacher, Yes, reading that book is something you just HAVE to do on that first day!
