An afternoon at the mall.

I'll write about Matthew's choir trip to the mall, since I couldn't attend his last ever school Christmas party! Gasp! It was at the same time as Mary Beth's party, and since I was more vital to the operation of that party, I had to have Matthew's other room mom throw their party. Huge Mommy guilt, but what was I to do? I'll tell you! Blow up 40 red and green balloons, then transport them all in plastic bags to Matthew's school on a windy day right before Mary Beth's party! I will be so sad to see these three grow up, but I think I won't miss the school Christmas parties so much. ;)

But I digress...

The 6th grade choir trip to the mall is a really big deal. I was in charge (with another mom) of chaperoning 12 of Matthew's best friends around the mall after they sang, for 1 1/2 hours of fun filled shopping. While I must say that they couldn't have been better behaved, chaperoning 12 12 year old boys is a little like herding cats!

Here the boys are in a hurricane simulator. That hurricane had nothing on the energy of the boys within!
6 preppy 12 year old boys flashing gang signs. Adorable.

Matthew was THRILLED to get to sing for the mall crowd! :)
This Santa was so sweet to the boys! Watching this crew ask Santa about the inner workings of the North Pole was utterly hilarious! Matthew has such a funny group of friends. It will be so interesting to watch them all grow up together!
