2nd and 4th grade Christmas parties

Ahhh....Christmas party week! This is always a production, but this year went off without a hitch. Of all the years in elementary school, the 2nd grade party is the most hectic. Each of the 5 2nd grade classes spend 15 minutes in each classroom doing a different project. Mrs. M's class was the book exchange. I stayed in the room and read a Christmas story to the kids while they passed their books either right or left, as the story dictated. Here is sweet Mrs. M before the party. Truly one of the most gifted teachers I have ever had the privilege to know!

We both wore our Santa scarves to school for the party. Mary Beth's principal took a picture of her, made a poster, and titled it the Best Scarf Ever!

The week before the party, my co room mom and I made these cute Christmas tree T-shirts made out of their hand prints! They turned out great!
Mary Beth's principal drew her name for a prize for getting so many "checks" during the Christmas season!

The 4th grade party was infinitely more relaxed. The kids made a fun food craft and enjoyed hanging out with their friends. We adore Thomas's teacher, and couldn't have asked for a better class for our BMOC Thomas!

After the party, it was Christmas break! We were so happy to leave school and enjoy some family time!
