Life is good

Looking back on the last several posts, I realize I have been sort of a downer lately between ME and me being sick. I feel so happy lately and I haven't written much about it. I am busier than I have ever been in my life, but I am doing so many things that I really enjoy! I am enjoying the few hours I am working. I love what I am doing to help at Matthew's school. I am thrilled with Matthew's teacher and school experience so far. I am in the middle of several good books. The kids are all three at adorable ages and I am trying to enjoy every second with them (Trying is the operative word. They all three still have their moments!) The weather is cooling down considerably and we even enjoyed a dinner on Sunday night in the dark. So cozy! I even broke down last night and ordered a chai latte at Starbucks. Bryon and I enjoyed an outing to Starbucks with the kids in the backseat. This is our little "date" about twice a week. I reserve Chai Lattes for cooler months on special occasions. Driving at dusk with the whole fam just felt like a special occasion last night.

Yes, life is good. I am happy to be a part of it.

We all have things that can seem a little consuming at times, but you seem to always be encouraging and loving in talking about your sweet family. Here's to a great week!

I thought I could hold out a couple more weeks before getting a pumpkin, but with the cool weather I just HAD to get one and put out my fall decor. LOVE IT!!! Yes, we have had these same couches for TEN years!

Kristen-
Isn't it funny how "dates" change after kids?

Elizabeth,

This might be kind of random. I don't know you; I just found your blog through the church of christ circle. I'm currently attending graduate school for speech-pathology. I saw that you recently went back to work in the field. I'm wanting to do something similar- have kids after school, stay at home with my kids and then head back to work (part-time, like you) when my children are a bit older. Have you found it difficult to jump back into the field? How many hours a week are you working?

My email address is jennythompson83@gmail.com

Please don't feel like you have to reply. I just thought I would ask because I've been struggling with what to do. My husband and I would love for me to stay at home with our kids. But, I don't want to lose the valuable information I'm learning in grad school right now. Plus, I just love the field.

AAAHHH! I love family dates almost more than couple dates!! There is something magical to me about loading up at dusk and heading out for icecream and a drive.
