In the midst of all the chaos in our house right now, my little girl is changing so much! Here is what she is doing:
*Talking up a storm! "Matthew goin' night night!" "Ont (I want) chockit!" "ME do it" "Ont princess cup" "Rocky rock baby doll." The combinations change daily. I love this language explosions age!
*She is starting to love girly things. She will play with her dolls. She will make tea (which she calls "Coppee" because her mama drinks lots of coffee!). She loves her Disney princess sippee cups. She loves bows. If she doesn't have one in her hair she says, "Ona bow!" She also loves holding jewelry and called it all "pretty". "Ona hold pretty!" The first time she sees someone, she walks up to them with her arm out to show her bracelet.
*She loves to make us laugh. One of her favorite ways to do this is to talk in a funny voice. I can only liken it to Fat Albert's "Hey, hey, hey!" voice. That guarantees a laugh every time!
*She looks similar to my mother. She has her smile. I adore my mother so this trait makes me so happy!
*She never met a stranger. She loves saying "HI!" to everyone. She never cries when I take her to the nursery or to Mother's Day Out. I think she is quite the social butterfly!
*She is incredibly affectionate. She loves to hug and kiss all the time. It isn't usual for me to be holding her and her to give my neck a huge bear hug unsolicited. She will also do this from behind when I am sitting down. She constantly wants to be held. I can see where this could get tiresome, but since she is my last baby, I really enjoy holding her.
*She is a mama's girl. Don't get me wrong, she adores Bryon. It's just when the boys were her age, all they wanted was Bryon. It is sweet to have a child actually want me over Bryon from time to time! ;)
*She has a great Elvis impersonation. You tell her to do "Elvis" and she curls up her lip!
*She is still attached to her "bibi" and wants it every time she is hurt or tired.
*She still loves to dance and does so any time she can.
*She can play for long stretches with the boys now without me having to worry about her safety. She can climb up on their bed and down without problems. This gives me 15 minutes every now and then to myself. How nice!
*She moves constantly. Up and down. Left and Right. Even when she walks, both of her arms are going every direction and her body sways left and right! She keeps me on my toes!
What a blessing she has been to me for the past 22 months!
Had a thought.

How sweet! I've really enjoyed reading about ME. Let me know if you decide to come a game this fall (you can email me from my blog. We could have a blogger meet-up on the quad (if we can get the Carpenters to come to an Alabama game).
She is beautiful!! She sounds like such a sweetie. I love little ones that love to be held and cuddled. You are blessed with a beautiful sweet family.
Hey now, Tesney! We would come to the quad to socialize! We don't have season tickets like you guys, but we'd come!
About ME...I've enjoyed reading about her in the year or so that I've been reading your blog. She was a very "wanted" little girl and I really enjoy reading about the connection that you have with her. It makes me fantasize about a little girl at our house...maybe...one day...maybe. (Was that enough of a disclaimer?!)
Yes, Karen, she was a wanted child! I can honestly say, though, that having her has not diminished the love and pleasure I get from the boys. There is just nothing like them!
I am planning on writing an update post on all of them, but she is the one changing the most right now.
Karen,
Oh yes, the Alabama-Auburn game is a home game for us this year. I'm sure you'll be happy to come out for that one. ;) I'm glad to hear that you are not against coming out to socialize. I think the fact that you work for UA makes you a fan by default. I mean, who signs your paychecks?
Hi Elizabeth,
I didn't mean the boys weren't wanted too, but I know that GOD listened to the desires of your heart for a sweet little girl. Boys are completely great too! All children are so unique. I know my two are very different.
Hello Tesney,
I completely agree! I am not going to bite the hand that (literally) feeds me! :)
Karen-
I know you meant nothing by that. It is just that I get a lot of "Oh, you finally got your girl!" when all three kids are with me.
I guess I feel funny when I write too much about her or take tons of pics of her because I would never want anyone to feel like she is more special than the boys. You know just like I do how wonderful those boys can be!
ME is so cute! I love all the things that she is doing right now, especially the talking. She is a girl you know so you have to expect the vocalness.
I was glad to hear that your grandmother was doing better yesterday evening. I enjoyed talking to Thomas for a while when Bryon was trying to take care of other things. He is so fun to talk to. He told me all about packing, the new house, and Buddy being a little sick. You do have some precious boys. Maybe we will get to talk next time we are in town. Happy packing!!
Erica-
I didn't know you were there to witness all the drama yesterday! Matthew was up coughing most of the night which was fine with me because I had a huge meal to cook for the family. Of course that got moved around. The last big meal I made was for Easter when Lauren went to the hospital. I hope the next big meal I make does not coincide with a family member going to the hospital!
What an incredible blessing she is!
Simply precious!
I love that fiesty, sweet little girl of yours!
