Snip it salad

I am a food kick kind of gal. If something tastes good to me, I eat it over and over again. My sophomore year in college, I ate Cream of Wheat every day! Lately, I have been eating snip it salad once, if not twice, a day. My girlfriends and I made it for a friend's small, sit down dinner, baby shower last year, and I didn't make it much until December. Now, I can't wait to eat it every day!

Snip it salad
(Named this because all you have to do is snip open packages to make it)

1 bag spring mix salad greens
craisens
glazed walnuts
feta cheese (of course, I omit this one!)
raspberry viniagrette

Such a beautiful and delicious salad. I think I need another bowl!

I too get on food kicks. Remember that old salad with ranch style beans, fritos, Catalina dressing, cheese, cucumbers etc...? I used to dream about that stuff.

You skip the feta?!? Why, oh why? I LOVE feta cheese! This sounds like a great salad!

MDM-
I made a similar salad when I was a newlywed with meat in it. The first time I "cooked" for Bryon, my mother came by and made it for me b/c I wanted him to think I was a great cook!

Jacinda-
I am sure it is fabulous with cheese, except I hate cheese! Wish I didn't, but I do.

Wow -- you did a lot better than I did my soph year. My breakfast most days was a Snickers and Dr. Pepper out of the vending machine in Sikes dorm.

I omit the feta cheese too! Ftea cheese and blue cheese are on my list of things I DO NOT EAT YUCK! :) I wish J would have another baby so we could do that again!

What brand raspberry viniagrette do you use?

FYI- You know how I feel about cooking... Last night I made a lemon pie from scratch... and it was delicious!! Shocking! :-0

SG-
I am sure J and her 4 kids would disagree with you!

We need to do it again without a baby!

Carol-
Although you STILL don't have a blogger account I will talk to you. ;)

The last jar I used was Private Selection (sounds mysterious) but I also really like Brianna's Red Wine Vinaigrette. Delish.

Carol-
I bet the pie was fabulous! I love lemon pie.

I realized that I spelled vinaigrette wrong in my post. It isn't spelled how it sounds.

Paul Newman's brand of dressing is yummy too. I'm going to try your salad. I'm all about trying something new in the kitchen!

Yes, I meant Blush Wine, not red wine. It is a beautiful salad.

How do you get your picture on the posts!????
I can't figure it out!

I love this salad--and it's just my style--easy!

I remember you don't care for cheese--but the feta in this--well, I LOVE cheese!

Thanks for mentioning the "Mark of the Lion" series--it will be on my must read list now--I sooo enjoyed "RL"--I did without sleep to read it!!!

Kelley-
I am going to h ave to get back to you on that one. My sister helped me with it and I can't remember off the top of my head how to do it!

JB-
You will love Mark of the Lion! I still think about the story and its impact 5 years after I read them. It took a few chapters to get into but DON'T GIVE UP!

Sounds heavenly, especially the snip-it part. I can handle that one!

Thanks for the warning about the series--I actually think I started it several years ago and did give up--now, I think I will muddle through a bit if I have to!

I was surfing the other night (via Tracy's blog) and saw this recipe. I made it tonight and it is definitely a new favorite. I can't wait to make it for bunco or something! Thank you!
