Well, I believe this is the longest I have gone without blogging! Life has been quite busy the last few days. Matthew is still not 100% but has made dramatic improvements since last I blogged. He is off pain medicine and sleeping through the night again. Yippee! He lost between 5-10 pounds during the ordeal which is a lot considering he started at only 55 lbs! This weekend, he got his appetite back and is eating around the clock.
This weekend, I saw Memoirs of a Geisha. A beautiful movie but the book was so much better. Entire story lines were omitted from the movie.
This morning I went with one of my best friends to the zoo for a last fun outing before school starts. My friend has the same family as me-same birth order and spacing just one year ahead of me. The only difference is that she got two for the price of one with her last one! Our boys have a lot of fun together and the girls are just now getting interested in each other. After the zoo, we went out to eat. I love the stares we get when we walk in with 7 kids under 7! It is a look of pity and "Don't these girls know about birth control?"!
Well, the holidays are officially over tomorrow. Normally, I am so ready for school and life to return to normal, but I am dreading it this time. I have loved having Matthew home and having no obligations during the week. With school starting, Mother's Day Out, sports, piano, and church get into full swing again. The kids are ready, I just need to get my tennis shoes on to get ready for the rat race to begin again!
Had a thought.

Sounds fun! We are back in full swing around here. Kind of tiring getting back. Sounds like you spent the day with someone I would like to spend the day with!! I miss being goofy with her SO much. Give her a hug from "Tannie."
Yes, I hung out with Cindy today! We have so much fun together and could talk nonstop. She is a blessing to me!
Glad Matthew is better--he lost so much weight!
We loved the down time of the holidays, too! Reality returns though!
Tie those shoes on tight!
Meredith-
Matthew never had a sore throat or strep although I think he was a carrier for strep. I got it twice during the holidays and my brother got it twice a few days after coming to visit us.
I took him to the ENT because his tonsils were HUGE-almost touching. He was a mouth breather, always stopped up, snorer. He also had bad breath. Its funny, the first thing Matthew said to me after surgery was, "Does my breath smell better?"
Good luck with your decision. I know the older they are, the bigger they are and the harder it is to get over the surgery. If you are going to do it, do it now!
