Roll Tide!

For 4 gut wrenching, heart palpitating hours, the kids and I have been watching the Cotton Bowl. Alabama, who has one of the best defenses in the country played Texas Tech, who has one of the best offenses in the country.

Tech didn't score a touchdown until the final few minutes of the game tying it up. Jamie Christensen, who by all accounts is a mediocre kicker at best, kicked an ugly career long field goal that barely made it through the uprights to win the game for the Tide! This after only making 1/3 attempts today. My brother and dad were there. Mom and I watched the end together via the phone and Matthew couldn't stop kissing the screen!

Ironically, Christensen won 3 games for the Tide in the final play of the game this year. I guess he came through when it counted!

The good news is, I cleaned out most of the drawers in my kitchen with all my nervous energy. Bryon called and told me to rewind it and watch it again while I clean the office!

That was a really ugly kick! But hey, whatever works! Couldn't help but think of the celebrating going on at your house! :)

Yes, Steph, it was quite loud! I was so happy that Michael and Dad got to go and not feel like the exorbatant amount of money they spent on the tickets was not wasted!

Yeah, my husband was watching it here, but he certainly had the opposite reaction as you to the end of the game! He was very excited when TT scored and tied it up, but alas, Alabama scored again. Oh well!

It was a good game...although I will admit most of our friends here (and most of the Dallas population) was rooting for the Raiders.

I knew you and your family would be so happy though! Yea!

Your joy is my pain! We went to the game with some friends. It was heartbreaking for us. But, hey, the weather was nice!!
