Signs my boys are obsessed with football

*Matthew brings home a paper today that he signed "Dru Bledsoe"

*Matthew wants to change his name to Drew Bryon Bledsoe.

*When the boys are fighting about who gets the green cup and who gets the blue cup, Thomas says, "I want to be Baylor, not SMU!"

*Most of the journals Matthew writes in school have to do with Shawn Bell, the quarterback for Baylor.

*Matthew recently saw a sign for BBQ and he said, If you turned the letters around, you would have QB which stands for quarterback!"

*I recently took the highlights out of my hair. When Matthew saw me, he said, "I hate the Aggies and I hate your new hair!"

*Thanks to my brother-in-law, who is a huge Georgia fan, Matthew now sings "Glory, Glory to Old Georgia!" at the top of his lungs whenever possible.

*Thomas makes me participate in Baylor cheers at home. "I say Baylor and you say Bears, Mama!" Or he says, "B-A-Y-L-O-R, Baylor Bears Fight!"

*The boys live for the weekend to watch football. I can usually hear one of them screaming, "Go, Baby,Go!" at the television.

*Both the boys can tell you who Baylor beat this year.

*The only book the boys wanted from the book fair this year was My Brother's Side about Tiki and Ronde Barber.

That is so sweet! If I had boys, I'd want this same type of thing from them. As it is, I have 2 girls who have a daddy who LOVES football! Specifically the Dallas Cowboys & Texas Tech. I have tried to teach Gracie, "Football stinks!" but she is slowly coming around to cheer for Texas Tech. *sigh* It's good bonding for the 2 of them!

I admit that I was a daughter of a football obsessed father (specifically Alabama).

I grew up loving football and I still do. I spend many a Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night watching it. (Go Baylor, Bama, and Cowboys!)

Even ME who is 15 months old can say "BooBall!". I guess it comes naturally to all of them!

I grew up loving football myself...and we have continued the tradition with Lauren. She yells, "Go Boys!" whenever she hears a football game on. Your boys sound precious! I love the response to your hightlights the best....so funny!

He hates the aggies? Oh my that is sad! I like your hair!
Yes the football talk is long and deep in this house too! Who knew that the Thursday that the Cowboys play at three and the weekend Texas plays A&M play is actually Thanksgiving in some parts of the world.
