There is a wonderful organization in our town called Talitha Koum, that serves the underprivileged children in our community. It has actually been praised in the Wall Street Journal. TK takes care of children from birth to kindergarten, but instead of letting them loose in the world at that point, they find mentors for the children to help them from kindergarten to 12th grade. Bryon and I were exposed to this organization through Upwards Basketball. After prayer and thought, we decided to become TK mentors! We met our Carnease in September as he was starting kindergarten, and already love him so much. The kids adore him, and we feel so blessed to be a part of Carnease's life. Looking forward to seeing how God will use us in his life.
