End of Spring Break

I can't believe it is already Sunday night! Our 9 days of togetherness is over. What a blessing to be ready for the kids to be home all week and ready for school to start again tomorrow!

We had a good week. Bryon is buried in work right now, so it was lots of time with me playing with the kids. At times this was hard, but I reminded myself of how nice it was to not have anywhere in particular to be. We spent tons of time outside, making picnics, going on nature walks, and reading books. One of our nature walks occured after a heavy rain, and I got to pull the boys out of the mud. The mud was so thick that their shoes came off firmly entrenched in the soggy earth! That was a gross walk back home!

Today was a huge gardeners gathering in the small town that we live in. We all had a great time doing kids activities, listening to bagpipes (my boys' favorite), picking up free plants, and talking to people who enjoy gardening as much as I do.

This week, the bluebonnets came out in full force. This is always a happy time and a stressful time. Time to get the perfect bluebonnet picture. Unfortunately, this has become more and more difficult the more kids we have had. Wish us luck this year!

Looking forward to a good week!

I have the spring break blues a little, but I like our daily routine too. Glad you enjoyed your week and hope you have a great week this week too!

P.S. Alabama missed you!!

I was really expecting an ode to Starbucks here knowing that one opened less than a mile from your house on Saturday! I also find it interesting that you and Bryon moved to that particular spot just weeks after that new Starbucks was announced. Riverside just couldn't live up to Roberta being blocks away AND Starbucks on the corner! :) Happy back-to-life-after-Spring-Break!

Mommy of Boys-
Terribly disappointed that we couldn't go this break. I think we may try this summer? On the positive side, Bryon felt so bad about it that he agreed to put in another flower bed in the back yard for me! They are working on it now!

Steph-
Angels were watching over our home buying decision! This was our little reward! It is now a 5 minute round trip instead of 20 minute! ;)

Oh -- I miss the bluebonnets. But daffodils grow wild in Arkansas and they're all over the place right now!

I am also sad you didn't make it to Alabama! I hope you can come in the summer. Campus is so beautiful right now with all the tulips, redbuds, cherry blossoms, dogwoods, & bradford pears. I'll post some pics after tomorrow so you can feel like you were here! (We're taking Clayton's Easter pics on campus tomorrow afternoon). I moved my blogsite. It's now claytonsmommy.blogspot.com
