We have had a high pressure system sitting right above our neck of the woods which has made it seem more like August then almost October. Monday, it was actually 108 degrees which was the highest recording of any city in the United States!
Tonight, Matthew was talking to my Dad about how we needed to move to somewhere cooler. He said, "It's easy Deedah. All we need to do is go up 1-35 through Oklahoma, then Kansas, then Nebraska, then South Dakota, and then North Dakota. Then we will be in Canada where it is much cooler!"
I guess it was a good idea buying him the States puzzle!
Had a thought.

It has been a very strange September. I don't ever remember it being this hot at this time of year. We got to 97 today in Houston. I noticed that it was snowing in Loveland Pass in Colorado today. Cold front coming thru tomorrow, it should get down to 85. Ha Ha.
Elizabeth,
A cool front blew into the Permian Basin last night and it is so cool, I am about to open the windows. Fall is around the corner and I want to go get some pumpkins for my porch!
The low here tonight is 44! I can't wait to break out the sweaters and make some soup... too bad that it'll be in the upper 80s by Sunday.
That boy knows geography better than I do! He actually did better than me on a hard internet geography quiz!
Elizabeth- your son is too cute!!! I can't wait for cooler weather myself :)
Oh my goodness, where was your son when I needed him on our last road trip? LOL
It was 101 here. 101 on the COAST in California is simply unheard of, especially considering that on Monday night we had a powerful thunder and lightening storm. Amazing!
